About me:
I have many years experience in photojournalism and have been published in numerous publications. I am an award-winning photographer and was featured in a calendar with a Texas-wide, and farther, reach.
I have brought my unique perspective and eye to portrait photography; having moved out of the newspaper and various photojournalism aspects to a more personal and creative side.

Family Lifestyle Photography
Based just east of Dallas, TX, Sam Epps Photography’s goal is to take the stress out of family photography for you.
Our sessions are fun, laid back, and focus on your unique family connection and beauty. My images are timeless. I don't use many seasonal props and elaborate sets. I prefer to focus on you, your family and the interaction.
Many shots are "candid" style shots and display the overall personality of the family and the individual members of your family. Pets are always welcomed members of your family!
Your All-Inclusive session fee includes the on-location session experience, usually lasting around an hour in length (but can go longer as needed) and all the high resolution quality digital files from your gallery to keep for life and print and use as you see fit.
The images are typically taken outdoors, so be sure to dress appropriately, but in your own style. Your Sunday best may not be the best clothing to wear, since there may be some sitting and playing on the ground.
Extremely bright and "loud" colors and prints are also discouraged. But again, the images are about "YOU," so ... in a nutshell ... you just be you!! And have fun!
The location can be a place of your choosing (within a reasonable driving distance) or I can choose a location. I request booking about a week in advance.

ALL-INCLUSIVE

* Includes a session with immediate family members, usually lasting around an hour or two (I always leave plenty of time for myself to be available to be with the family). Includes all high resolution digital files from your gallery in both color and black and white (Typically, a minimum of 50 images are presented to you. Often, there will be many more than that), presented in a private online gallery for viewing and sharing. You will also receive all images on a thumb drive for use with offline computers or compatible tablets.
With the All-Inclusive Package, I never want to have to choose just a small handful of images and I never want to restrict the images I edit and place in your gallery.

These shoots are typically done in a more minimal style in a studio.
Choice of background color is available (currently black, dark blue, white, brown, and gray).
Additional effects may be used (smoke machine/haze, ottoman/bed, chairs, various small props).

All images are professionally edited or retouched as needed.
Various-sized prints are available for an additional cost. Prices may vary.
These are high-quality prints, suitable for framing, displaying, and gift-giving. Prints can come in a variety of sizes and formats including canvas.
Also available, items with images on them: mugs, T-shirts, seasonal cards, blankets, pillows, desktop plaques, mouse pads, etc.
Sam Epps Photography offers everything you need for any holiday, special event, or special gift in general.
I do ask for half of the cost up front, at the time the shoot is booked.
